Service Description
Our mum and baby yoga classes are designed to boost energy, aid post-natal recovery, improve strength and stability and give you space to connect with your baby and other local mums. Mum and Baby Yoga will you moving again and stretch out the aches and pains that creep in through sleepless nights, nappy changes and baby carrying. This class is designed to be as relaxed and laid back as it is possible to be! You will feel welcomed and supported from the moment you walk in the door (and don’t worry if you’re running late). This is an opportunity to focus on yourself, build a community and show off your baby! We have the back room kitted out for mums and babies, with space to change, feed (if you’d like privacy) and soothe. Yoga mats are provided, you might want to bring a blanket or towel for your baby to lie on, but it's not compulsory. Jo who teaches this class is a mum of three small kids and knows exactly how unpredictable those early months with a baby can be – so please don’t feel any pressure. We go with the flow. Benefits • Aid pelvic floor recovery • Identify diastasis recti (ab separation) and work to improve core function • Lower stress and anxiety • Aid sleep quality (we sadly can’t help with quantity!) • Reduce tension, aches and pains • Connect with other local mums and babies • Feel less alone • Improve pelvic and hip stability (often affected by pregnancy) • Relieve back pain • Improve mood and energy levels Suitable from 6 weeks post-partum up until your baby is confidently crawling. Please make sure you have had your 6-week GP check and have been cleared to exercise. Our studio is small and cosy; there’s space for one or two prams in the back room, but please bring your baby in a sling/arms. Thank you!
